Kelvin Grant was official leading member of the iconic British reggae band Musical Youth.
They are best remembered for their enormously successful 1982 single “Pass the Dutchie”,
which became a number one hit around the world.
Musical Youth earned a Grammy Award nomination.
A Top 10 placing also followed in the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The music video made them the first black artist to be ever played on MTV.
