Have you ever had your ankle bind up? .
You can’t squat.

You can’t jump.

You can’t run.

I’ve been there, I’ve had calf and ankle problems almost take me out of the game. I used to stretch and smash away on my calves and my achilles with minimal results.

That’s because I was missing one key piece, which is reprogramming my nervous system to recognize that there was actually more movement at the joint. You need to exploit that new range of motion right afterwards to cement that new position into your brain.

Here’s how to make permanent ankle changes.

THE TEST.
1. Kneel with the toes of one foot approximately a hand width from the wall.
2. Drive the knee forward and touch the wall.
3. If the heels comes up, or there is pain across the ankle crease.
4. You fail.
