Man Parrish talks about his early beginnings from being an adopted kid living in Brooklyn to beginning to find his way into music. Parrish is a native New Yorker] of Italian descent. He attended the High School for the Performing Arts and the Academy for Dramatic Arts (NYC) as a teenager. He moonlighted as a non singing, onstage "extra" role in several operas at the Metropolitan Opera House in Manhattan. Parrish left home at the age of 14 and was a member of the extended family that converged nightly at Studio 54, Anvil and other night spots around NYC. His nickname, Man, first appeared in Andy Warhol's Interview magazine. Andy Warhol gave him the name "Man". His early live shows at Bronx hip-hop clubs were spectacles of lights, glitter, and pyrotechnics, which drew as much from the Warhol mystique as the Cold Crush Brothers.

He took the risk and uploaded his mix on there and it took off immediately. Years and years of working on YouTube he has uploaded over 800 different mixes. Over time and copyright control with all the take downs he now has about one hundred mixes up and adding new ones all the time. With the ever changing parts to the business he is constantly adapting. He also shared with us that his passion is Cycling. JaBig is getting ready to cycle across the United States for Charity which will take him about six months to complete. TRUE HOUSE STORIES W/ RON CARROLL # 067 - PART 2
Ron Carroll’s DJ Career in the late 1980s is cut short and you can hear why in this part of the interview. The Poster Wars Begin and Ron is blackballed from being able to promote or DJ at any parties in Chicago. Because he is shut out this now forces him to find another way to earn money in the music business. He discovers music production as his saving grace. In the productions world he hooks up with Ed Matthews and they together start to write songs. In the early 1990’s he ventures out to take a trip to Miami to go to the Winter Music Conference and meets NYC DJ Louie Vega. He asks Louie if he can write lyrics for any upcoming projects and Louie gives him the new demo music for the upcoming single with Barbara Tucker. In this part also Ron talks deeply about battling depression and trying to find himself in the years that follow after he has his first initial commercial success. As with all great life stories there is a happy and sad moments and you can listen to him talk about one of his biggest records that he wrote and sang on back in 1999 with the group Funkstar from France. This interview is deep and real.

Tim Lawrence lays out in this part how he begins to work towards writing his first official book “Love Saves The Day”. Listen to Tim explain how he has no real interest in writing a Disco Book, and since he wanted to write about electronic music, he had to find out what came before. In time he becomes good friends with the men who owned the record shop Dance Tracks NYC. They in turn get Tim to meet Owner of the famous The Loft - David Mancuso and the story begins from there. Tim then meets DJ Steve D’ Aquisto and many other industry moguls from the Pre-Disco Era and is handed the blue print to figure out. It takes a few years and many interviews and a lot of painstaking research to arrive to this masterpiece. He also shares the other books he has written in this episode.

Ripe bananas are easy peeling
But green bananas are a different thing
Their skin is tough so before we begin
Here's a great way of skin removing
Get a bowl of hot water put the bananas in
After a few minutes score along the skin
The peel comes off easy time for slicing
Cut it up to the sizes nice and thin
In a bowl little coconut oil prepare it
Add the spices that you want even garlic
A little pink himalayan or grey celtic

This is plantain most people say plantain
In Jamaica plantain it name
Looks like a banana but it's not the same
Same family similar things it contain
More starchy with a thicker skin
People use the plantain more for cooking
From green to yellow to yellow and black
People I know use it a lot
Plantain is very big on the scene
Inna African and Jamaican cuisine
Also got a lot of vitamins in
Antioxidants fibre see what I mean
Fried plantain a lot of people desire
Peel, slice, oil, pan put it on the fire
If you want less oil you can use an air fryer
Or steam it bake it as you require
You can also eat it raw
Even though most people think you can't
It’s up to you anyhow you want
Depends on you and who you are
Next time you're at the store and you're looking
And you see that banana looking something
It's not a big banana with thick skin
No it's plantain

Get some quinoa put it in a non-stick pot
Turn on the heat make them pop
Put them one side after that
Next let's see what we've got
Get some almonds and some oats
Put them in a pan let them toast
For about 10 minutes at the most
Then put them one side hope you’re taking notes
Get almond butter date syrup
Coconut oil mix them up
Put them in a pot make them melt
That’s stage 3 under your belt
Stage 4 no time to waste
You have to have date paste
That's dates with a little bit of water
Blended in the food processor
Get a bowl to put everything inna
With a spoon mix them together
Put in a grease pan or a pan with parchment paper
Then transfer it to your refrigerator
Make it cool for about 1-hour
Quinoa protein bar got power
After that cut it in a slice
And taste, isn’t that nice
